) PEGBOARD HELPHow to Play Pegboard is basically a simple game. The object is to have only one peg (little ball lookin' thing) left on the board. You do this by jumping pegs in a manner very similar to checkers. The rules are as follows: Ñ The peg must jump over a peg directly next to itself (no gaps). Ñ The peg must land in an empty square directly past the peg being jumped. Ñ The peg may not jump diagonally.That's about it. If you do that, the peg being jumped over gets removed. Keep doing that until there's only one peg left. It's not as easy as it sounds!Boards & Layouts There are nineteen boards in Pegboard. A board is the background for a level. It shows where a peg can be, and where the special circle is. When you pull down the Board menu, you are given a list of boards. Dragging down to one of the boards shows that board's layouts. A layout is how the pegs are arranged on a particular board. Every board has ten layouts, for a total of one hundred playable levels. This is true except for the last 'board'. The last one is just a collection of different boards with one layout on each board.Backing Up To make it a little easier on you, you are allowed to take back moves. Simply choose 'Back' from the File menu or press -B (command - B), and the last move you made is undone. You can do this all the way back to the beginning if you want. This is the cheater's way out, though, and if you back up a move, you don't get th special winning animation (see Winning).Winning The basic way to win Pegboard is to have one peg left on the board. This will bring up a neat little congratulatory window. However, it is possible to do better than that. Each board also has a special square. It looks like a raised ring. If you can get the last peg to land in that circle, you get to see some cool animation before the winning window pops up.
